"One little step..but a giant step" :

Joan Craven

Joan Craven (19th August 1929 - 24th November 2019) may have left this world,

but her spirit lives on through the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her.

She was a warm, fun-loving person, with exciting stories to tell,

especially how her late husband helped on the Apollo 11 projects.

When the heating system failed at St.Michael's in the midst of a cold winter,

our community suffered. But thanks to Joan's generosity, a new eco-heating system was installed, bringing warmth and comfort to all who entered St. Michael's doors.

People could meet, share stories, and create new memories in the snugness of the building,

just as they had for generations.

Joan's late husband may have played a role in man's first landing on the moon,

but Joan's legacy is just as inspiring.

She gave back to her community in a way that will be remembered for years to come,

and her warmth and generosity will continue to inspire others to do the same.

Joan Craven may be gone, but her 'little step' made a huge difference ,

reminding us all of the power of kindness and

the lasting impact of her legacy gift can have on those around us.
