New to the Parish or looking for a Church
If you are new to the Parish or looking for a Church or simply want to know more about us then please contact us or come to one of our regular Services and make yourself known to us.
Both our Churches have regular Sunday Services and both have Sunday Schools for younger members of the family.
St. Michael's has a Bell Tower with a peal of eight bells. We are always looking for new bell ringers, including those who would like to learn.
Both Churches have a variety of mid week activities and you are invited to join us in all that we do.
You may find the information below helpful.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I GET THERE
It is a good idea to arrive at Church at least 10 minutes before the Service in order to get seated and have a short quiet time before the Service begins - please sit anywhere - you will be made welcome and will be given a Service booklet at the door and Hymn Books are located in the seats or also given out when you arrive. If you are not sure what will happen then please ask one of our Welcome Team at the door.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR
There is no need to dress up to come to our Services - always wear something in which you feel comfortable and tidy
CAN I BRING THE CHILDREN
Most definitely - we are family Churches and children are welcome - we run a Sunday School at the main Sunday morning Services at both Churches and young children are free to join in or stay with their parents - we can provide "play bags" to keep children busy if you want - just ask when you arrive
WILL I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING
No - other than join in as much as you feel able to do so - over time you will become comfortable with joining in with the prayers in the Service Booklets and maybe some of the hymns will be familiar or will have tunes that are easy to follow
SHOULD I TAKE COMMUNION
Yes - if you are in the regular habit of taking Communion - if not - then you are welcome to come to up to the Altar Rail with everybody else with a Service Booklet or a Hymn Book in your hands and receive a blessing - please also bring the children up for a blessing with you
